Art Brussels Talk: Ways Beyond the Post-Internet

Valérie Hasson-Benillouche takes part in Art Brussels Talk: 'Ways Beyond the Post-Internet' Friday April 20 | 16:30-18:00 With Yves Bernard, Peter Beyls, Josephine Bosma, Constant Dullaart, Valérie Hasson-Benillouche, Hampus Lindwall, Fabio Paris, Domenico Quaranta, Carlo Zanni. Borrowing its title from the (in)famous launch of the Post-internet label at the DLD, the Digital Life Design-conference in 2012 (the round table “Ways Beyond the Internet”, introduced by Hans Ulrich Obrist), the panel wants to explore recent developments in the field of media art. Now that a broader aknowledgment that we are living in an age shaped by digital technologies has taken place, that “digital aware art” has found its way in the global art world and market in stable, material, post-digital forms, what is emerging in terms of aesthetics, poetics, formal choices, politics and economics? This debate is proposed by iMAL and Link Art Center, on occasion of the exhibition "#LAYERS. Contemporary Art in the Digital Era", which is organised by iMAL at La Raffinerie / Charleroi danse from April 18 until May 26 2018.
