Fréquence Tissée

For more than twenty years, the artist duo LoVid (Tali Hinkis and Kyle Lapidus) has built its own audio-video synthesizers: handmade electronic instruments that generate live images of saturated color, interference patterns, and unstable symmetries.

Drawing on the legacy of experimental video and a radically DIY ethos, they turn glitch into a poetic language.

For LoVid, the image does not remain on the screen. It moves into fabric—printed, embroidered, painted, and stitched by hand—circulating between electronic signal and material craft. Spanning two decades of work, this exhibition reveals a constant belief: the machine and the hand speak the same language.

The signal was searching for a body. LoVid wove it one.
