Digital painting · Lenticular print · Video
A painting graduate of La Cambre (ENSAV) in Brussels, Olga Fedorova has gradually transposed her painterly background into the digital image. Her compositions feature women inspired by those around her, often eroticised, as if suspended in a state of digital hypnosis.
Domestic interiors, swimming pools and artificial settings, inspired by cinema (Suspiria) and the Surrealism of Magritte and Delvaux, build an ambiguous world in which surveillance, confinement and the codes of consumer society come to the surface. She works with lenticular printing, still images and video.
She has had a solo exhibition at Liebaert Projects in Kortrijk (2016) and presented GENERIC JUNGLE at Annka Kultys Gallery in London (2017), and took part in “Escaping the Digital Unease” at Kunsthaus Langenthal. At Galerie Charlot, she has exhibited in DATA DATING (2018-2019) and SHE LIVES IN YOU (2018).
