Anne-Sarah Le Meur

The lenticular series presented at Galerie Charlot introduces a subtle, almost atmospheric materiality. The fragmented surface of the support acts as a prism: as the body moves, colours appear, slide and disappear. Hues expand, overlap and sometimes contradict one another. This constant mobility extends the artist's interest in unstable perception and in light as a living entity. The work never reveals itself entirely; it unfolds in layers, in an intimate relationship with the viewer's movement.

This exhibition thus reveals an essential evolution in Anne-Sarah Le Meur's work: a passage between digital immateriality and physical presence, between generated light and refractive matter, between virtual space and the real density of materials. By integrating the viewer's movement as part of the composition, the artist offers a renewed perceptual experience, in which colour becomes an event, a horizon in continuous transformation.

Anne-Sarah Le Meur, a major figure of French digital art, presents at Galerie Charlot, from 31 January to 11 April, a new series of lenticular works that marks a decisive stage in her research into colour, light and movement.

Known for her abstract, code-generated environments, the artist here pursues her sensitive exploration of chromatic variations by introducing a new material and vibratory dimension. These lenticular pieces, whose surface responds to the movement of the gaze, extend her work on perception while giving it an unprecedented physical presence.
